This is not a Fannish Friday post.

Jan 27, 2012 15:52

Fannish Friday appears to be a bust, you guys. Sorry. There has been an unprecedented amount of work to do around here the past two Fridays; it's like the universe is trying to tell me something! Also, I'm not really feeling fandom at the moment. No one else appears to be feeling all that fannish either, though, so I'm not going to feel guilty ( Read more... )

Ooh, have you lived in France? Maybe I knew something about that but have forgotten.

Fannishness is surging at the mo', at least if one is interested in Michael Jackson, which I'm not. I'm lurking everywhere these days, though, rather than getting involved.

Glad you're doing well with your eating plan!

Someone on my flist reports that Dave is coming back after all; I thought you'd have renewed interest. I have sadly lost pretty much all interest in Glee. It might come back eventually, but I don't really miss it.

I have never lived in France, no. I've traveled there, but not as much as I'd like.

Yes, that's the rumor. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, because his tiny cameo back in November was not enough. I don't trust the show at all anymore. They keep doing the screwiest things. Stills from the Spanish-themed episode are like, WTF?

Me too, in re France. I haven't been there in decades but remember Paris with so much affection.

Am off in a sec, but wanted to mention that I heard an early version of the song Ben, and CM sounds really, really great. (Of course, being that I am an unabashed CC lover, I think he sounds pretty awesome too, but this song highlights all 3 voices -- CC, CM, & LM -- in a beautiful way. Even if it supposedly was written about a rat...)

I like the maybe-future-possible ink! Well, I liked #1 and the Not-the-Space-Needle ones.

I've never been tempted to tat. Mmmm. Well, I DO actually tat...it's just not the skin kind! I think I need a nap.

I love France. I love Paris but my heart is in Provence. So much love. I would love to live there and open a B&B. I cannot convince Peter. It's a great sadness.

I like the first Eiffel and the Not-Space Needle Eiffel the best. Though, are you planning going back to visit Paris? Moving there? I'm just wondering how your moving towards it?

Though now that I think about Paris does come up a lot as a theme in your life, as you said and it is very you.

I'm fairly fannish right now only it's Soap Opera fannish and the one I love is off the air, grrr, and Voltron -- which is small but I've made at least one more awesome lifetime friend if not two from it, so yay! If only I knew how to do that with people who lived in the same town(state, as in one case, Country) as me, LOL.

Huh. That last one does put me in of the Space Needle. I like the very stylised first one most. I went to France a few months ago for the first time and was shocked by the Eiffel Tower. I expected something beautiful, but it wasn't until I saw it lit up one night that it became beautiful to me. (Exposure helped, too, thank goodness!)
