Thank you very much for this fic! It was beautiful, very emotional, very touching. Wish someone (probably Burt, they'd listen to him more cause he's an adult) would tell those bastards off for being such humungus assholes :( also, I hope Blaine leaves business.

Thank you so much for your kind words. <333

Blaine's parents are pretty much a lost cause in this 'verse, but I DO think he'll change his major now that he has realized that!

Aw I loved this, and I think even though you wrote it a whole ago it still rings true for Blaine's character.

It also makes Kurt wonder whether Blaine has simply been failed too many times for his efforts to make a difference.

This hit my gut, as did Blaine's pouncing on Kurt's "first time" he admitted Blaine's parents didn't love him. What a struggle to be at odds with your boyfriend who refuses to even consider what you've suspected for years, that your parents don't love you. It's one more occasion of having your perceptions invalidated.

I love how you keep piling it on. It just gets more and more horrifying. His parents accepted an impromptu dinner invitation? Seriously? They couldn't say, "Oh, I'm so sorry, we're going to see our son on stage in a play tonight"? Fuuuuuuuuck. Thank god Kurt takes the phone away and hangs up. Thank god for Burt Hummel, his influence on Kurt, helping Kurt be who he is, so he can be there for Blaine. I ache for Blaine.

"I will always love you," he tries, channeling the ghost of Whitney Houston. cracked me up.

The last two paragraphs; ack. Sobbing and angry. You give me feels.

PPB, it feels SO good to see that little turtle icon on my LJ, you don't even know!

I am so glad you found this cathartic, and as always, it means so much to me that you took the time to read and comment. I've spent a lot of time in fic trying to ~understand~ Blaine's parents and ~explain~ Blaine's parents, and I have to laugh - it felt really good to write a fic that just unabashedly trashed them. The title of my word doc was Blaine's-parents-suck-fic. (I think I was just really irritated that we didn't see or hear about them attending Blaine's graduation ceremony, and the only thing we saw was Kurt giving him a big hug after he got his diploma. I think that little moment is what renewed my interest in this story.)

So sorry I made you achy inside, but as you said, sometimes we just need to fall apart a bit! Thank you again SO much for your kind words and your support. <333
