Sorry, is it rude to scream at you on Sunday morning? My bad. IZ SORTA YOUR FAULT THOUGH.
Because, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Which is to say, there could not BE a more perfect fill of "semi-angsty fic where the conflict quickly turns to smut". What I especially like (and hadn't considered a possibility) is that the conflict here isn't Noah v. Luke, but rather, Noah v. his own demons, with Luke stepping in to reassure and support him. LOVE. THAT.
The whole idea of Noah calling Luke just because he needs to hear his voice - just PERFECT. And him not even saying a thing and Luke knowing it's him and that whether Noah wants to admit it or not he needs Luke and Luke tracking him down to be there - ALSO PERFECT. And the way that of course when they're so close they simply have to be together because it's Noah and it's Luke and it's them and being together is just what both will always need - is it repetitive if I say PERFECT again? Oh. Well ( ... )

I've always thought the best conflicts between them were when insecurities or demons like you said get in the way, when one or the other gets too inside their own head. Because it makes them vulnerable and scared and trying to pretend they're not, and makes the other that much stronger and comforting. I like writing stuff like that :) (Obviously.)
I think they both like being the strong one, but not-so-deep-down they both really like getting hugs too.
Anyway, yay again. Thank you!!

I also adore how Noah wants Luke to be there when he gets back...
Thanks for this!

Love the little Luke-Noah gestures as always.
“I’m going because I have to. I have to see it, it has to be real this time. Okay? But I promise,” he leans in and kisses Luke lightly. “I want you here when I get back. And when I do, we can talk and hold hands and share our feelings and whatever else you want. Promise.”
“Jerk,” Luke grins, grabs his shirt collar to haul him back in for another kiss. “You’re gonna owe me more than that. Lucinda’s probably expecting us for dinner tonight.”
Noah smiles sweetly down at him. “Then I’ll be back as soon as I can.”
Hee. I think that's the thing about Nuke for me - they could be so incredibly sweet. It's nice to see them like that here again. ♥
