I haven't really LJed since Yorkie died, I see. That's been a while now, and lo and behold I'm going to be getting two kittens in a couple of weeks. They were born the last weekend of September, so they should be old enough in about two or three weeks for me to bring home. One of the teachers where I work has a cat who had the kittens, and there

Many years ago, when I wanted a kitten to bring up with my young children, a friend whose cat had eight-week-old kittens brought the whole litter over to our house so we could get acquainted and pick one out. One of the kittens looked me in the face and jumped up onto my lap as I sat at my computer, so we chose her. Dice was a very people-oriented lap cat her whole life. I once let Ben bring her to his class for tell and show. When we called her name she stepped out of the cat carrier and greeted the class.

So I do believe kittens know what kind of cats they want to be. I hope you are chosen by a couple of wonderful ones.
