I know what you mean about the eating. I won't call myself fat because really I'm not, but I weigh more right now than I have since high school and it's really frustrating because I know it is 100% my own fault. I always manage to stay on a healthier diet for about a week, and then I have an overemotional day and just eat everything in sight (it does not help that I work somewhere that sells delicious delicious pastries).

I was sick for about two weeks and lost enough weight from barely eating that I can fit into my favorite shorts again. I am determined not to go backwards this time.

I just want it to be fall because for some reason, I am much better at/more motivated to watch what I eat during that season. Which doesn't make any sense. But I'll take it.

And then Restaurant Week starts next week, and I want to feel like I can go out a couple times without feeling guilty, but if I eat badly this week, then I totally will. And I'm also worried that I'll use the excuse to eat everything in the house for the next two weeks.

I just read The End of Overeating, and it talks about how foods are engineered to make you eat more and more, and at first I felt totally empowered. But now it's like, how do I fight it?? Everything I've ever eaten was designed to make me eat more of it.

Seriously. Tapeworm.
