There was a DVD sale at work and I picked up Fast and Furious 6 and Riddick, both of which I have not seen before. I'll be having a Vin Diesel marathon today! I've written a couple one shots in both fandoms so I consider them active fandoms as opposed to lurking ( Read more... )

I love Riddick. And I saw Fast and Furious 7, is that the last one?. I had never seen any of them before. My daughter wanted to see it, so we did. I liked it. I loved Peter Falk in Columbo. One of my favorite shows. Also love McMillan and Wife. That was an awesome show too. Enjoy your DVDs. :)

Riddick is the best or the baddest. *g* You decide. I enjoyed the movie although I thought it wasn't original enough. A lot of elements were repeated from the earlier movies. But the dingo was adorable and I almost cried when the merc killed it.

7 is the latest one. I bought 6 and then discovered after I opened it that it was Blue-Ray. It was labeled as BlueRay and DVD but the DVD part was download. *sulks* So I haven't seen it yet. I did rewatch 5 to enjoy the giant vault smash half of Rio. *g*

There's some awesome F&F slash if you're interested.

Well, Dom/Brian, of course. Although for a brief time during the first movies I was intrigued by Brian/Vince and I wrote a Brian/Carter Verone fic. Hetwise, I do like Dom/Letty but I don't think Brian/Mia have real chemistry.

McCloud was Dennis Weaver, wasn't he? I recall having a mild crush on him back in the day. I really love the way that DVD sets enable nostalgia tv - once I lay hands on TS, and the Pros blurays finish coming out, I think my cup of nostalgic joy will be full.

Dennis Weaver was adorable and the way he irritated his boss was so much fun. The buddy series I'm most nostalgic about is Hardcastle & McCormack. Because of the age difference, the dynamic is always written as father and son, which sucks. Even as a youngster I thought Brian Keith was a handsome devil at 70.
