I do this thing in the bath, I plug my nose and curl up under water, on my back and my knees to my chest, so I don't float to the top. I recently discovered I can cover my eyes so light doesn't shine through my lids. It's like sensory deprivation. I've been playing with the idea of going to a "floatation" place for a while now, for this very reason. There are two here in town that are fairly inexpensive (under $30 a session) and quasi-religious experiences notwithstanding, I'd like to see how much this is than my own bathtub experiments.

I do that too, by the way. Hell of a couple of seconds, that coming back up experience.

i saw those places in sf all the time, next time i'm in a city i'll have to check it out again... everything's worth a try, yea?

thank you for doing the same thing. the last time i did it, the other night, my first thoughts upon coming up were, "someone else does this, too..." :)
