Funny how I always tend to expand abbreviations in casual speech.
Exempli gratia, id est, et cetera.

Well, how else would you say it but "et cetera"? ;) That's the only one I'd say out loud, though. It's "for example" or "that is" when I talk; never "e.g." or "i.e."

I posted that real life example from a conversation last night, because I found it funny how the second line actually had valid uses of the terms. :-)

I do say "i.e." in conversation occasionally. But that may be because I talk like I write or something of that sort...
