The friend I went with also has that problem, usually; she didn't have any nausea issues with this film.

I might see a non-3D version.

Sweetness!

I'm excited to see it. These guys should be studied by the entire film industry...

There was an Onion article a while back that was along the lines of: "Film industry sues Pixar for breaking mandated '2 bad movies for every good one' rule".

I'm not thrilled with the polarized 3D projection/viewing tech, 'cause I can't tip my head sideways hardly at all without making the screen wonky. I've learned that I apparently do that a fair amount, even when I'm actively trying not to rest my head on something. I saw a 3D IMAX movie a couple of weeks ago that used purple/green (IIRC), and found it more forgiving.

This is done using Disney Digital 3D - it's not color-shifted, but uses polarized lenses and extremely-rapidly-alternated images. Supposedly the circular polarization of them specifically allows for more head movement, too.

My friend and I both sneaked peeks with our glasses off at the screen, and it wasn't anywhere near as jarring as the old-style color shifts; evertyhing just looked a little fuzzy.

So clearly you just need to bring a shoulder to rest your head on!

Did you see Coraline in 3D? They did the same thing - no 'rush at the camera' junk, but rather used 3D to add, well, depth!
