Thumbelina Fashion Editorial Spread

I was planning on doing a birthday post along with this one but this one became so image heavy already so I think I'll separate it.

A few months ago, I was approached during Pizzafolio (its an event where students of all majors share their portfolios so we see people we NEVER usually see at any given time) by extremely talented photographer YiFei GuRead more... )

These are great!

I like how the model doesn't stand out in the illustration, she just blends in, and it helps with the atmosphere a lot. Much respect to you and how much you've improved *__*b

Thank you so much ;3; Its been ages since I've really had the chance to try out things with any form of personal flair so although this isn't entirely my own work and direction, its nice to know I've improved ;3;

I think it was a great thing that we did the shoot with the model first so I put a lot of consideration to choose colours and moods that would suit the feel of what the model herself is wearing/styled. I think the hardest bits was the fact that she was always wearing something very light and I was worried on how it would work out that way.

These were absolutely gorgeous. So dreamy and yet striking at the same time. I think my favourite was the second image, the blending of your artwork and the photograph was absolutely seamless, and I love the peacefulness of the image. The first image is a close second.

Congratulations, that looks like a phenomenal project. ^_____^

Thank you so much ;3; That was definitely the look and feel we were going for. To make striking images which conveyed a look of dreaminess. Its great to know it got across!

Thanks! Her entire book looks extremely promising as well so I can't wait to see how it would look like in print.

Agreeing with DM, I like how the model looks like she's an integral part of the picture and it's like after taking the picture in, THEN only you see that there is a figure there to complete it. I like the overall watercolor feel and how everything blends well as a series.

My favourites would be the dead bird (??) one and the one of her holding up a kite of butterflies.

Thank you dear ;3; Its really great that that's how it looks since it was one of my bigger worries. I'm glad to know from the eyes of people outside of the project the feeling we were going for comes across >3<

*much much love on Awakening and Flight of Freedom* I like those the best of all though the last one is also a favourite. It's just the colours and the feel of the pictures. (Though I like how you did the 'dead' swallow's feathers too :D the brushstroke effect and atmosphere is lovely) Absolutely gorgeous stuff here ♥

Thanks so much dear <3 That was generally the look I was going for though in the end I think the final edit had a great deal to do with the 'raw' look <3
