I'm just remembering from when I went to Hogwarts; some kids used to write false confessions and send them off to hapless peers. Or ask them out on dates so they could pull it out from under them at the last second.

I can't say I understand why students would be so cruel. Pointless pranks are bad enough, they ought to be kind for at least the holiday.
