so i think the sock i am working on is cursed. nothing went right while making the toe. the pattern worked but only after  alot of tweaking. and that doesnt even start on the heel. Took me 6 tries to make the heel of which i did successfulyl each time but didn't like the way it looked ( Read more... )

Mother's Day is coming up and she has size elevens! Otherwise, it's rip and bitch. But every successive pair will be better, you'll see. It's the decreases, and the sock never really makes that tight 90-degree turn you see in manufactured socks.
To give you some perspective, when Catherine (my backpacking friend) gets a hole in her socks, she rips them out to the tear, then re-knits the socks! That way, there's no darn anomalies. It's important for backpackers to have nice, even footwear so they don't get blisters. I LOVE. My socks you made me. They're my winter wear and sometimes bedtime warmers.

Well these are a wool lace sock that may or may not be smooth enough for a hiking sock. The last socks I made for you were just acrylic but the colors made me thing of you. Anyway, picture socks in the future for you. I think you will like them. Happy Mom's day
