I voted today. Did you?

Washington has Ref. 71 which I feel makes this election very important. The few who want to force their religious beliefs onto the whole of society should be stopped. Yeah, I voted. I had a "control freak" outside my polling place who tried to stop me from entering because I wore a T-shirt that said "United We Stand: *My School District Name*" on it.

I raised hell and got him booted from the property, but Jimminny Cricket! It was like shades of the thugs who wouldn't let town meetings go on because they couldn't have their own way.

R-71 was important but frankly at this point I would crawl over broken glass to vote against any of Eyman's initiatives. Somehow they always seem to be aimed at things that directly affect me. Transportation is the big one; if he had his way he would pave the state and eliminate anything that looked like public transportation. Without public transportation I am pretty much housebound and since I wouldn't be able to go to work I wouldn't even have a house for long.
