Well, anskiere has just brought it to my attention that my laptop has a Mic Input and if I get a good microphone I can just record music in wav format straight to my computer. That is certainly a temporary solution to my recording problem... as for recording my lessons, it might be a pain in the ass and it'll use up all my space, but then I can always burn

the quality of the recording depends also on your sound card I think.. I have noticed that when I do it on my laptop which is a few years old, the recording comes out crap, when I do it on the desktop it is much better quality. I have used the direct recoring on laptop in other occasions, like during meetings, and yes, it tends to use up space quite heavily and you better stop and save from time to time.
