Oh, that was so sad. I was aware of the Challenger quote and I knew where the story went even before I read your note, and I was heartbroken. Unlike the Challenger crew, those two have the chance of a sequel. PLEASE make it happen. Thanks for sharing.

When I wrote this a few days ago, I meant for it to be an ending, of a sorts.

But you know how things are - the other night, I was thinking about the story, and Lt. Scott insisted that he be allowed to mount a rescue mission, dammit. Pretty soon, Greer and Eli had come up with a plan, and well, TJ is standing there looking at me with those tragic eyes of hers. She is very, very hard to resist. Stay tuned.

So sad :( I love the tiny details here, the comment about the light scatter, the way Young notices Rush's eyes and the repetition of his hair. They really build up depth.

Really lovely, you have no excuse not to keep writing more SGUfic now :)

Rush’s hand was cold in his, and the skin on his knuckles was rough when Young ran his thumb across them.

You have Greer "brushing his thumb gently over Rush's knuckles" in "Winter Winds". After I wrote the line in my fic, I thought, wait a minute, where have I just read something similar? And realized it was your fic! Hopefully, you will be flattered that your scene stuck in my brain so solidly!
