I met up with Joichi-Maki at the mall at noon today to pick up some of her plastic Pullip stands (thank you!) Each of us brought a doll along with us, so we did a mini photoshoot at one of Druxy's tables haha. Wish I had a better camera (I was using my iPod 4th Gen, it's not bad, but it doesn't compare to my BF's Samsung Note 2). At one point, a lady came up to us and inquired about our dolls. She had a rather thick accent, so it was slightly difficult to understand what she was asking, but it was amazing to see someone taking an interest in Pullips :D Looking forward to the next meet-up!
I brought my Pullip in Princess Rosalind's box and stuffed it into my tote bag. The box was Joichi's idea, and it worked perfectly so I don't even need to spend extra money on getting a doll carrier! I never thought of putting her in a Pullip box...come to think of it, I wish I had the official Snow White pullip box now haha but I'm so terribly low on space right now.
Some photos of Sophie (Joichi's Ddalgi Pullip) and my Snow White (whom I have not named because I am terrible at naming). Sophie's kimono is really pretty! Joichi made the hair pin herself! I didn't even notice this until she pointed it out, but Sophie's eyelashes are of a blueish hue. They're really pretty and look really soft!
Some more pictures of our mini photoshoot! They both match so well! Ohh, and it was also my first time seeing an obitsu body with a Pullip head (I'm so new at this lol) Love Sophie's eyes, they're very vibrant! I can't wait to order some from koolcat! As for my Snow White Pullip, I got her 2nd hand, so she came with a loose red dress and plain red bow; I did my best to emulate the official Snow White stock by hand-sewing on lotsa lace and manually cinching in the waistline & sleeves to make the frock more form-fitting.
The 3 stands Joichi sold to me! Thanks for the great packaging, really appreciate it!
Now that I have some stands, I can finally open one of the packs of shoes I ordered! I'm using the black ones for one of my Make-My-Own Pullip.
Ta-da! She's my work-in-progress doll (she hasn't been named yet). I made her outfit from scratch in late October to early November (still unfinished); everything from her dress, sleeves, and lace socks were hand-sewn because I don't have a sewing machine yet (I'm contemplating on getting a mini sewing machine for future projects). It was my 2nd attempt at making an outfit for my Pullip (Snow White being my first). Her eyes are just placeholders..as a test, I drew her irises on copic paper with copic markers & gold gel pen. I got her wig off of an eBay auction I won back in October-ish; it's from Romantic Alice Pink Version (god, I soo want that pink version...) As for her headband, the flower was actually from one that I used to wear but it broke off from the headband itself, so I just cut off a curved part, bent it to fit my Pullip's head, and re-attached the flower back on. Now that she has a stand to support her, she can wear her new shoes :D (she was sitting on Pullip Myra's chair in my glass cabinet before). Can't wait til Spring/Summer so I can start doing face-ups on my balcony (there's no way I can do them now because it's too cold to work the UV Matte fixative...which I have yet to order)
