Failure with a side of success

So that job that I applied for I did not get. What it was was working as an Student Assistant at the Student Involvement and Employment Office (SIEO). Basically it was just a front desk job there. I mostly wanted it because it would have been easy and fun, and would have helped me with going into Student Affairs/Higher Education. Well the interview ( Read more... )

I think the job sounds cool and I do think you would be good at it.. it sounds like a much better opportunity than the one you didn't get, although it does seem more challenging. I bet it would look great on any job/grad school application. I say go for it. :)

I haven't heard of a Student Affairs program here, but that doesn't mean they don't have one... You could search umich.edu to see if you can find any info..

Carly! You've always been such a volunteer girl! Oh my gosh, I totally think you would rock the job! It is so intimidating though, trust me, I had a real job for a while. But be confident and people tutally buy it!

Working at that job would look so so so good. Especially compared to Kohls. :) (Even though I like Kohls)
At least apply. If you don't get the job, nothing's lost.
If you get it and don't feel comfortable, you can always not accept it.
