Consciousness came slowly to Rose. The first thing she was aware of was the feeling of warmth, followed by the comforting smell of...something-no! someone-familiar. It didn’t feel like her bed, though, and the lighting was wrong for her room...and yet she could hear the hum of the TARDIS, so she was still on the ship.

My only suggestion would be to leave the font on default; I've got bad eyesight, and I usually get around things I can't easily read due to size or style by rendering the page in my own flist style, but apparently this one's got a font hard-coded in the entry. Some kinds of distractions are better than others ;).

As you've got The Poster replying today, I'll lapse into first person. Font on default...hard coding...my brain has gone kablooey. I understand the basics of the concept--going into the html side and tweaking things--but every time I do that, the post goes to hell. As a stopgap, I've gone and changed the text in both posts over to Times New Roman, so maybe that will help? At least temporarily, until I'm away from work and can really concentrate on defeating LJ?

I'll make a note to post in TNR; I've no doubt you're not alone in finding Poor Richard to be a nightmare to read.
Oh--and thanks again for the inspiration. :) We say this all of the time, I know, but it's especially true on this one: we had a blast writing it.

I loved this moment. Poor Doctor. He is clueless, and that's a big part of why we're all so darned fond of him.
I loved the story as it was, and I'm tickled to find this. A unique perspective, and a very welcome one.

this is satisfyingly long, I 'hear' his voice and hers but I'm all a twitter about his...

Again you've managed to characterize The Doctor perfectly, right down to that breakfast bit that was mentioned earlier as well as the way he sort of just slips into his lecture-type mode. :D
*goes to finish up the story*

Thank you! This was definitely a new path for us to try, and we're so glad that others are enjoying the results of our adventure.
Ten, Ten, Ten...even in bed, he just can't help lapsing into certain habits. ;)
