Some interesting choices here; why is The Empty Child two parter in with the Master arc? I can't remember anything there that particularly pertains to the Master ( ... )

I put the Empty Child in with the Master Arc simply for setting up Jack's story as he features so prominently in the Master's Season 3 episodes. That's a very good thought to put Rose's first episode in her arc - I didn't even think of that! *silly*

I am so looking forward to hopefully seeing River again! *fingers crossed*

Ahh, yeah, I get that now, that's a good idea! I might try and piece together a Jack one encompassing key Torchwood episodes at some point!

Me too. So far managed to stay spoiler free for this series (first time ever I think!), so I have genuinely no idea if that's likely as her story seems wrapped up in key areas.... but here's hoping!

Ooh, if you do one for Jack, I'd love to see it! He had such great character development - I think it would be lovely to bring him back for the 50th anniversary next year.

(There’s also Waters of Mars in between the last two which is really good but doesn’t pertain to the Master, I don’t think. It is important in its own way though, showing that, well, the Doctor’s off his rocker.)

Actually there's one bit in there that very much pertains to the Master...when the Doctor shouts "THE LAWS OF TIME ARE MINE...AND THEY WILL OBEY ME!!!"

That riffs on one of the signature lines of the Master from way back in the day, and sells the point more than anything else of just how far over the line the Doctor's gone by then (I about fell straight out of my chair the first time I heard that).

Oh that's a great point (and just goes to show how much I really ought to watch the original!Who...)

Yeah, for all the times they recast the character it was Roger Delgado who truly owned that role. (The first 10 minutes of The Sea Devils should be all the proof required for that.)

I really must get on that - there's so much Who out there I'm totally oblivious to!

Now that's a good idea!

I've already seen all episodes in oder but this makes me curious to try. Now I have a plan for holidays.
Thank you :-)
