Albus Severus?

So my roommate just called me. (Well, she's not my roommate anymore, but she was for about six (maybe seven) years, so that how I will perpetually refer to her.) She just finished reading Deathly Hallows, and wanted to know at which part did I cry. Um...I didn't cry at all, which most people know, and if you didn't know, you do now. I told her most ( Read more... )

*LOL* I can picture that for some reason ;)

I didn't cry per say, I teared up when I realized that Remus and Tonks had died (about the same time that Harry did), but I didn't cry cry.

'Cause by the end I was too busy laughing at the kids' names. Great epilouge...but, seriously, Jo?

The names didn't bother me that much, except Albus Severus. Mostly because it sounds odd together. And seriously, I think it made Snape roll over in his grave! Can you imagine his reaction?

*pictures Snape's reaction*

*cracks up laughing*

*gets odd looks from co-workers since its 420am*

Dude, I seriously needed that. I can just SEE the look of horror on his face. And I can see Dumbledore standing next to him humming under his breath silently amused at his reaction.

Now...picture James and Sirius' reactions to the name O_o

LOL, I've known people to cry over the name Albus Severus. Someone at my work did that, actually. Her favorite character was Snape and she just started bawling when she got to that part...

I think I would've cried more had I not known all the deaths before hand, lol. The only death that managed to make me cry was Fred's. The other deaths were sad, but I was expecting them all and even though I was also expecting Fred's, I think it was a little different with him because he was my favorite out of all the characters she killed. *still mourns Fred omgwtf*

I did cry a little when Harry went to his death too, but that was more because I was proud of him.

Yeah, I knew all the deaths ahead of time too and I think that's partly why I didn't cry. I also had read the epilogue, but I'm still pretty sure Albus Severus wouldn't have made me cry!

Get ready to laugh again. The death that most affected me was Hedwig, and I did get a little teary-eyed when that happened. But even though the book was very affecting emotionally, I didn't outright cry at any particular part.

Hedwig was sad. I could understand crying over that. But, seriously, as much as I love JKR, those names are nothing to get weepy over!

I cried when Dobby died. Odd how different parts of a book can grab someone and not others... maybe I was just in the 'zone' when I came to that part.
Need to read the damned thing again. Only read it the one time, and I know I didn't absorb DH the way I did the rest of the books.

When I read that bit about Albus Severus, I thought it was kind of cheesy. What an unfortunate name for a kid... at least any muggle kid.
