So, when we were in the States last November, we stopped in an AT&T shop and got 2 local phone numbers on the AT&T Pay as you Go plan. It sounded like a great arrangement for us : Essentially, you pay $25 and get a card with that much value on it together with a local phone number. Looks like it worked out well -- but what method of payment did you end up using over the phone? That's what I want to know. I've found that it's generally credit card or nothing at all... did they take paypal??

they took our SG credit card. it appeared that for this transaction, as long as we could provide a US address, it was fine. Hubby used his US office address so that was ok.
