As i understand it: consumption of less than 500 millegrams of caffeine a day is not considered an addiction.
There are 200 millegrams per 8 oz cup of coffee (50 per cup of black tea, 4 per cup of green).
So if you drink two and a half cups a day (or one of those 12 oz coffee shop smalls) you are fine.
And it does make us happier, doesn't it?
*about an hour ago I remembered that I never turned off the coffee pot last night. I called Stacy in a panic. She, in her infinite wisdom, called Zach and Jeff, who are currently at the space, and asked them to do so.
Chris was gone all this weekend. I can say with complete confidence that the cats are much happier with two humans. One just doesn't cut it, and the fact that they have each other also does not cut it (especially since Missy tries to antagonize Samantha half the time. "I'm not touching you I'm not touching you I'm not touching you").
I fell back asleep the other morning after my alarm went off, and shortly after I felt a soft paw tapping on my arm. It was Missy. I fancy thinking that she was trying to wake me up.
