Second novel news...

I found out this week that Bold Strokes Books have picked up my second novel for publication sometime in Spring, 2013 :-)

Tentatively titled Desolation Point (hopefully it'll stay as that, the title's grown on me!) the novel is set in the USA this time around and features two women - Alex and Sarah - getting into a whole load of trouble in the ( Read more... )

Dear Cari--I stumbled across _Snowbound_ last night and ran your name through Google so I could tell you how much I liked it. I have a mild (honestly) obsession with books set in winter weather, so I was excited to start it. On the other hand, I was sad to finish it, I was enjoying it so much. I'm very happy to read you'll be publishing a new book soon. I love the Ross Lake area, too, so...double bonus. Thanks for publishing your work--JR

Hi there. Thanks for taking the time to let me know you enjoyed Snowbound. It's always lovely to hear from readers, and I hope to have some bits and pieces for Desolation Point up on this blog a little closer to its publication date. I think I must have a bit of a thing for winter/adverse weather as well, DP has more than its fair share!

As for publishing, the thanks there has to go to Bold Strokes Books, who were brave enough to sign up Snowbound in the first place :-)

Just finished reading Snowbound for the second time. I loved everything about this book! Adventure, winter setting, suspense, and the emotion of all the character's.
I am so looking forward to your next book, just wish it was out sooner then Spring, 2013. Thanks for taking me into a different world for a while.

Hey Lynda. Thanks so much for your note. Hearing from people who have enjoyed Snowbound never fails to make me smile. Spring 2013 still sounds like a long way off but this year seems to be flying by (I think it's shift work!) I'm really looking forward to getting to work on DP and then getting it out there; I can't wait to hear what people think of it.

I'll be updating this blog more frequently as the release date ticks closer but feel free to drop me a friend request on Facebook, I tend to post more there than on here.

Hi Isobel :-)

Lovely to hear that you enjoyed Snowbound. After what feels like years in the making, Desolation Point is fast approaching, and I'm really looking forward to it coming out (albeit a little nervously!) There's a bit more information on my new blog over here: http://carihunter.wordpress.com/

Live Journal has been too temperamental of late, so I jumped ship and headed off to Wordpress :-)
