adsullatta & camiilovespanic both used a negative image to compliment their animated subject, jaquelee & mark_pierre both did a collage, starry_wolf & foxrafer both did a close crop that takes up half one side of the icon, seraphina_snape & luminousdaze used layering of the texture & subject to give their icons depth, & theladymorgan & kitty_fic used a color-to-white gradient to match their cut-outs! It makes me wish I'd saved my .psd, because at one point, my icon looked a LOT like crucified's! We used very similar colors & both have a light gradient coming from the upper left corner.
marishna - I love your use of space! The composition looks pretty on its own, but the symbolism of Jessica being stuck in the tiny boxes resonates with the theme of the show.
muirthemne - What a lovely honey color to go with the hexagonal texture.
narnialover7 - I like the way you picked up the rainbow colors in the texture overall in your icon. And the color palette of your alt/bonus icon is really pretty, too.
blue-sunflowers - Such a cute & creative use ( ... )

I especially like the Blindspot one by larmay, which makes use of the individual hexagons as picture frames, and the text-only icon by blue_sunflowers is really cool too! And sera's with the 3D effect is particularly eye-catching. I think sigrundora used multiples of the texture in a row to form the fence-like structure, which is a really creative way of interpreting the theme :D

jacquelee's looks like it was painstaking, but still so vibrant. Same with mark_pierre's!
I think I like entwashian's the best because of the colour and the subtle use of the texture and how it's so complimentary.
Great work everyone!
