Hi everyone, here at the results for the speed battle. Sorry it took so long, I picked up a whack of extra exam proctoring shifts this last week and it's left me with very little time for hobby-stuff - BUT YAY! RENT PAID.

I love the variety, and I'm tickled that several of us, out of all the fandoms in the world, chose Sherlock--I guess there was something about the lettering that inspired that connection.

Sherlock is a great canon for using headlines in fan graphics, it works really well!

It was definitely the first thing I thought of when I saw the texture. I was really happy to see I wasn't alone in that inspiration :D

I'm so impressed with the variety! I really struggled to pick something to do ('till my peanuts epiphany) so it's great to see all these different things.
They're all great, but I especially like the intensity of adsullatta's, the layering on kitty_fic's and the article effect in mark_pierre's
