You know that party I was arranging for my parents? Well, mum found the guest list and "persuaded" me not to go through with it. She didn't want a "fuss". Honestly, it's a big anniversary, you should have a bit of a party. But it's a no go. They did have a wonderful time on their holiday, if you were wondering. I've never seen them so brown. Mum ( Read more... )

Aw, I was looking forward to being babied by your mum. (Not.) Don't get me wrong, you know how I adore your family. (And vice versa, of course.) And I'd appreciate it if you don't bring up that Ginger Snaps episode. I am shamed by that sharded memory of my past.

The reunion came out a treat, as expected. Bloody fantastic seeing you all in one room. Even He Who Is Always Excepted. Yes, I'm talking about Smith.

Accidents? You were quite the safe one, mate. Safety conscious, or enormously uptight, I'd say. You were never one to risk - I'm sure you know that.

Oh, so you were with Sus and Michael. Wasn't much of a date between those two after all. Thank Merlin. Are they gunning for like a real date, though. Because Sus CAN'T date Michael Corner. I mean, he's just, um... well she's still with Finnigan after all. Yeah, that's it. She's still with Finnigan. That's all I'm saying. Umm, anyway...

Yeah, she can be a bit much sometimes. Her heart's in the right place though.

It's as good as forgotten. Yep, forgotten.

Good times, good times!

I'd say uptight too. I wouldn't say enormously as much. I did loosen up a bit. Befriending the likes of you does make some morals and personal restrictions fly out the window, hahaha.

It had no date-like atmosphere. Good, yeah? Just sharing what has happened in our lives since we last saw each other. I couldn't believe how loud he shouted "At bloody last" when I told him about Hannah and me. Did everyone know? Even in old Ravenclaw?

That's true, mate. It's a downer the party isn't pushing through. I was looking forward to eating your mum's glorious kidney and steak pie. Can you ask her for a recipe? I know it's supposed to be a fam secret, but I am quite like family, yeah? And before you ask... Yes, mate, I cook. (I realised girls like chaps who can whip up a nice dish. What do you think?)

Befriending me was the BEST thing you've ever done, mate. (Getting together with Han is just a close second.) See, if I hadn't asked you to join me, Han and Sus in our compartment back in our first year, you'd be beside ol Simon "booger man" Hubbard, you bloody ingrate.

Yes. I'm relieved. Hahahaha. My thoughts exactly. As I've said before, anybody with a good pair of eyes saw you two. Ernie, old boy, you're naivete is simply cracking me up.

You all can come over for tea or something. I'll ask her but she'll probably insist you come over the house for it. Sending it by owl won't be an option, I don't think. (They do, I reckon. Bloody brilliant idea. When did you teach yourself to cook? Didn't you melt a cauldron once?)

Okay, whatever you say. Hannah would have to be higher on my list I think. Hahaha. Don't remind me! I think he held out his hand once and I convulsed.
Ingrate? You want me to proclaim my gratitude to the heavens for meeting you or something, mate? Not going to happen.

Yeah, no worries there. You're going for drinks with Ginny, right? I don't want to be your entertainment, you blighter.
I don't want to go through that again. I was red in the face for weeks when I found out everyone knew...

I'll owl your mum when I get off of this thing. I miss that woman. I was really looking forward to seeing her at the party, but it may be better that it doesn't happen. With work and getting ready to move into Aunt Amelia's flat. I'm hoping to be in there by the end of the month...

I can't believe no one's mentioned our little Hufflepuff reunion. I suppose it's because most of us are together all of the time anyways... It was a lot of fun, though.

I'm glad you came with us. I would have been fine on my own, but I really didn't want Michael to get the wrong idea. It's nice to see a friendly face around the Ministry, though.

I'm really glad you and Hannah have each other. I've never seen her go so long without having a nervous breakdown or needing a Calming Draught for some random reason. It's nice. She's happy. And it's nice to see you happy, too. My dad really appreciates the protective charms. He's got some on the property, but he feels there can never be enough.

That would be good. Knowing her your return owl will look something like "Why don't you pop over for dinner, pumpkin?"

If you need any help with moving and that, just call, okay?

I noticed that too, but we were all there, pretty much. Good fun, it was!

That's all right! It was good to see the old codger again. He's doing well for himself.

Very happy, thanks. I just wish there was something I could do for you. In these times there can't be enough protective charms. And anyway, all I did was strengthen the ones that were there and add a few. It was the least I could do.

Well, I would love to pop over for dinner, so if that is the reply, I'm accepting the invitation!

We'll need help. I'm telling you that right now. I mean, we'll at least have my dad, but that may not be enough. I was planning on making asking you and Justin to help anyways.

He is. And I'm really happy for him. He always seemed so driven at school. It's nice to see someone using that drive.

Ernie, I appreciate you saying that. But I will be ok. I've got Justin and Hannah and you. And that's plenty. It really is. It'd just be nice to hear from him. For closure, at least. I don't think my heart could break anymore, so now it's just time to pick it up and find some way to piece it back together. I'll figure it out sooner or later.

It's bound to be! You should all just come over for dinner and let my mum fuss, hahaha.

I'll be glad to lend you the towering pillar of masculinity that is Ernie Macmillan.

It is. He has an uncanny ability to be able to make work look like it's fun all of the time. Good bloke.

I know you will. You've always been the strongest out of us four, in my opinion. I'm glad you know we are here for you.

The reunion was fun, even though I blushed one too many times, thanks to the beloved Justin and Susan. I could tell Zacharias was going to throw a chair if he hears the word "love" from each of us one more time, but he loved my brownies. Oh yes.

Don't worry too much about me, love. It's you I'm worried about.

((OOC: Awesome! XD I would so totally be doing that, too.))

Me? Why would you have to worry about me, sweetheart?

I don't know, love - I'm just scared for everyone I know. I just have this feeling - it's hard to explain. But I'm worried for you all, I just can't find myself to say to you lot that you should avoid me. I might be dangerous to be with.

Han, you aren't dangerous to be around. Even if you do have this "danger" around you, there is no way in the world that I'll leave you to fight it alone. I'll always be here for you, Hannah Abbott. I love you, and I'll protect you with everything I have, if need be.

Don't worry though, we can handle ourselves.
