Startled, he put the chairs against the table and went to Mana's side, moving the sharp knife away as it was teetering with its blade over the edge. "Mana! Are you all right?" He asked, voice worried. Despite their earlier clashing, that didn't mean that Yami stopped caring for the girl. Mana was an important part of his life, and no argument would make him cease his fond feelings for her, as best friend and as a person. It had troubled him that his arguing had been with her - she was always so happy and positive, she didn't need fights in her life.
He watched as she held her finger under the running water. "Dearie, you can use a healing spell.."

She looked up at Yami and smiled, pressing her finger to the cloth more. "I promise I didn't get any blood in the food, Pharaoh-sama! That wouldn't be very hygienic." She listened to his words about a spell and nodded. "I could but my staff is upstairs in my room and I don't want to have to go get it...I have to watch over the food."

It certainly was smelling good and he had worked up quite an appetite, not having eaten anything else since lunch. He smiled at her. "Take it easy, Mana-dear. I don't want you to be cutting any fingers off today. Or any day."
