Summary: In the black of space floats a small yet homely spaceship: The Astral Angel, led by the tough, honest Captain Charity Hudson (Uzo Aduba). While stopped at a market, the Angel picks up seasoned con man “Black Jack” Jones (Mads Mikkelson) and his protege Felix “Trouble” Hubble (Darren Criss), who are looking for their next score. Together they go on their way, unaware that they’re being pursued by space pirates. Onboard the Angel, Felix finds himself falling in love with Charity’s beautiful younger sister Grace (Rebecca Naomi Jones), a junior engineer reluctant to be on the ship. Her gruff boss, Daniel “Danny” Echemendia (Raúl Esparza), distrusts both senior con man “Black Jack” and the ship’s pilot Mike Foster (Jonny Lee Miller), who acts tough but has a heart of gold.
