That the Pennsylvania Dutch Market has made me its bitch. Today I bought rolls, apple-caramel-walnut pie, blackberry pie, pulled pork BBQ, and crack chicken pot pie. Do I need any of this? No. I cook every day. But I know if I go more than a week without something from their deli, I'll get the shakes. I'll contemplate taking a Greyhound up to PA ( Read more... )

You know what I love and crave like nothing else? Shoofly pie. Oh man, I had it at a county fair once and it was AMAZING.

I have not been able to have it since :(

Oh noes. They sell it at the market... I've never had it before, so I don't know what I'm missing, but I feel like I should magically send you some, because no one should be without their favorite pie... *wrings hands* Perhaps the website contact can tell you where to order some?

Haha, it's okay. I actually looked it up and it turns out there's a bakery about 45 minutes away that makes it. Mayhap I will go out to get it someday.
