I hope you like it! I think this is great even if you don't understand the Finnish because they sing so beautifully.

By the way, I'm with you on the fact that it's not Christmas time until after the first advent. *g* It's funny, I'm not even religious but the force of tradition is so strong.

I'm a staunch atheist (have been since I was in my early teens actually) but Christmas is my favourite holiday :-) I think that one of the reasons I can stomach so many of the Christmas traditions that, if you look at them closely, are religious is because no one in my family is religious so I've been brought up to associate all the traditions with Christmas itself, not with religion.

Oh yes, I was saying something. ;-) I oscillate between self-identifying as atheist and agnostic but it's not really important to me so I've never pinned it down. I think atheist would probably win if I really got to thinking about it. But I don't really have strong feelings about religion anyway as long as people don't try to tell me what to think or mix it with science and try to prove things with it. *shudders*

And yes, I don't really associate Christmas traditions with religion either. I think it's fascinating how a lot of the (Finnish) traditions have pagan origins and the religion was just pasted on when Christianity hijacked the old holidays. ;)

*looks forward to your Christmas icons*
