When the evening came, Emma surveyed her queendom and thought it was good. The food had arrived from Ching Tai, her muffins were done and decorated and might even be edible this time around, and the bar was fully stocked - Both with alcohol and weetiny umbrellas.

All that was needed now were the guests.

Mary had to give a nod of approval to the suit. It looked fantastic. She was willing to bet that it was designer.

Mary leaned in, a mischievous gleam in her eye. "Every man I've ever been with has asked me to marry him. So before you come back to my place, I think you'd better be prepared. We might be spending the rest of our lives together," she said.

Okay, so there were only two men in her past, but both of them proposed marriage.

"I bet those girls didn't have a very protective foster father who was ex-CIA and had a shotgun and a shovel," she responded.

"I have a better idea," suggested Mary. "I have an early morning tomorrow. How about you take me to dinner tomorrow night? I can promise that I'm worth the wait," she added with a smile.

"Oh, I would but I have to go feed the homeless tomorrow night," Barney lied. "We could hook up afterwards though."

"Oh, that is so sweet of you! There's not enough people working out there to help the homeless," said Mary. "Maybe I could come with you."
