Now I get to not panic for two months

I went to the ophthalmalogist yesterday, and had a retinal scan. (Lasers! Noninvasive technology! Way cool.) Also had my pupils dilated, which took forever to wear off -- I think the tech got overenthusiastic with the drops. Oh, wow. Well, I'm glad you got an answer as to what it was. Hopefully, it'll fix itself, but that's just scary. *hugs*

Scary, very scary. I hope it heals on its own.

The description you give of the recuperation from the surgery makes it sound like the same sort of thing Avedon Carol went through a while back...

Did they say what causes such things, or is it just something one's eye might do?

It seems to be one of those things that sometimes happens.

I'm not diabetic, and I don't have uncontrolled high blood pressure (or, in fact, high blood pressure at all), which are two of the most common causes for unpleasant eye problems.

That seems to me to make its just resolving on its own more likely, but what do I know?

I certainly hope it resolves itself, or at the worst, stays the same.

Should need to spend a week face-down, I gladly offer access to my mp3 collection so you can at least be aurally entertained during your immobility.
