I usually don't feel that ashamed of the infrequency of my LiveJournal posts; after all, they're intended primarily for my circle of close and developing friends, who generally hear about the important things taking place in my life long before I mention them here. I really appreciate hearing about your experiences after the death of Levey--moving, vivid. After reading about Ritscher and marvelling that people could be so critical of his final behavior, I was moved to read the "mission statement" because I thought it was the least I could do, what he wanted me to do. Afterwards I sat with my feelings, lit a candle for him, and wished good journeys to his spirit.

NaNoWriMo

I participated for the last three years in NaNoWriMo, although I couldn't do it this year due to work deadlines. I never made it to 50,000 words, but it was a wonderful experience that I'll jump back into next year.
