Holy shit, my package from Elections Alberta actually arrived! If I get it ready tonight and shoot out in the morning... my god, I CAN VOTE! ...Or at least have a slim chance of getting my vote in before end of election day Monday

We've got local elections coming up and I think they're always organised better than national ones.

Isn't that odd? You'd think the national (or in this case Provincial) levels would be more organized, just by virtue of, I don't know, being technically more important or something.

Yeah. I could not believe it. I actually did a doubletake and looked inside the main envelope in case it was stuck inside or something. And of course the link to the list of candidates was buried on the Elections Alberta website. *rolls eyes* Good times.

*hugs tight* Thanks, madame. That means a lot to me, especially since I really respect and enjoy your own work. ^_^ I suppose I've just been taking a giant beating from the massive sucking hole that is this program, and it's doing a number on my self-confidence.

Heh. Thanks! I've had a couple people tell me they're surprised at my dedication to voting. (I mean, good lord, I've now voted in all three levels of gov't since I've been here. I can't recall the last time there's been that many elections in such a short time. O_o) Since Alberta, frankly, sucks politically, I figure it's my duty to at least try and not let the ridiculous Alberta right wingers win. (I will cry if Wildrose wins. I really will. They are everything that is wrong with the Provincial Conservatives, with bonus sexism, racism, and homophobia.)
