This will likely only mean something to Canadians of my generation, but apparently Wheels from Degrassi has passed away. (Neil Hope, the actor, not the character.) -_- And apparently this happened four years ago, but his family only found out a month ago, and they've just announced it now. Wow.

That was the most randomly depressing news last night, and the weird delay is... extra weird.

I remember watching Degrassi on Swedish tv when I was in my teens. (I need to google a bit to figure out which version it was - my memory is a little hazy.) I used to read the tie-in books, too, and I think I even have one of them tucked into a bookshelf somewhere.

It's always a little strange and sad to come across news like this. :/

Oh, that's so sad. I watched Junior High and High, too. On german tv. :)

I think I saw a few episodes of Degrassi Junior High on PBS when I was younger but not enough for it to have stuck with me. But this is very sad, and so strange that so much time passed before any public announcement.
