...Because I'm about to get all sentimental and shit. ^_~

But first: Sadly, a fairly major deadline intersected with Halloween this year, and culminated in a couple sleep-deprived nights just trying to get things done, so I haven't had a chance to read all the sons_of_gondor exchange fics yet, nor have I started to hand out candy to my Trick-or-Treaters. (And ( Read more... )

OK, now’s the time …

Now’s the time to thank you too for all your efforts with the Trick or Treat challenge in Sons_of _Gondor. You’ve put in so much effort to make us all welcome and to make it work. And that besides your other duties. So doing some treats for you is a pleasure and a priviledge and only as very small way to give something back to you.

"So thank you, foxrafer* and stormatdusk, for being so creatively wonderful in the first place, and thank you, shegollum, for being exactly the right kind of inspiration.” This a motion I full heartedly support. So from me too, thank you ladies for your inspirations.

You made me feel all warm and fuzzy! I love the trick-or-treat thing, even if it does make me a wee bit anxious. But then a lot of things make me anxious, so whatever. :D

first of all, glorious picture of dear sean. it's 'the bit of rough' imagery that he conjures pretty much every time he shows up anywhere that makes me swoon. and drool. and write stuff about him. ;-)

second, i heartily undersore what you say about our little fandom that has become smaller but warmer over the years. i look forward to the exchanges as well. how can one not? and every year, i sign up for several even though i fear i will have nothing to say, that my brain is empty, (that someone will give me weird Doris Day songs as prompts...), or that i will let someone down (like opening a lovely bright package only to find socks)...yet i can't stand the thought of not being in the middle of it!

and last and most importantly, i cannot even begin to tell you what it was like to find that foxrafer and stormatdusk had thought of and enacted such a thing as the first Trick or Treat exchange. i don't even recall how much i'd said about not trick or treating before - if i was very whiny or if i mentioned it in passing - but i've always, always loved ( ... )

i just looked back in the archives and they started it in 2007 so this year was the 5th!
Motherfucker (sorry, I've just been writing foul-mouthed people), you're right! Argh! Well, that's why I have this icon. Because I went back while I was writing this post, and I counted: "2007 to 2008, that's one, 2008 to 2009, that's two, 2009 to 2010, that's three, and 2010 to 2011, that's four. Four years!" *facepalm* Yeah. Whoops.

I'll be back later to cackle evilly about Doris Day. ^_~
