Finally, finally had a chance to watch the first video from the set of The Hobbit. Despite having to fight with Facebook to get it to load, then giving up and finding it on YouTube, then watching it in fits and starts as it loaded erratically, I teared up multiple times. *sniffs* It was a near thing, right at the end, as I almost burst into tears.

I teared up a little, too, especially the Shards of Narsil "Still Sharp" and the Hobbit house.

Who'd have thought xxxx years ago, when I first read the Hobbit (literally in one sitting since I couldn't put it down!!) that this day would come?
