Ok, so. As I'm sure some of us are aware, after the rush, rush, rush up to the holiday season, after putting in lots of hours angsting/plotting/writing/rewriting/editing/betaing stories for exchanges, there's always a sad sort of dip right afterward, as the hours tick by and the feedback remains thin on the ground.
(
Of course, plenty of this lack is due to perfectly reasonable issues... )

The AO3 interface is making me neurotic -- it clearly displays hits, so I can see exactly how many people read my story but didn't consider it worth commenting on. I'm trying really hard not to give in to the impulse to whine but it's tough.

I suspect for most of us who are used to LJ and the mailing lists before that, since you could never see the hits to each story, it was easier to assume the ratio of feedback to readers was more even. (As I recall, website hits for stories are often a ratio of 100 hits per comment, which just plain sucks.) *hugs*

And the reason I don't comment is that I no longer read fic. When I do, I comment. I feel obliged (like thank you cards, maybe?) tho maybe sometimes I am so busy that my thanks are brief.

However, there are a handful of fantastic authors/people I remember from there, and you're definitely one of them :)
Hope you had a fantastic Christmas, and a rocking New Year!
