So am I! I'd been toying with joining up for a while (especially since I was sad I didn't have the time for either viggos_50 or the first seans_50 challenge), but let it completely slip my mind until yesterday, and then of course it had to be a crazy scramble to slide in in time. I'm amazed at how quickly govi20 approved my request to join the comm; she really doesn't sleep, does she? ^_~
Thank you so much! I'm thrilled you enjoyed it, and really pleased Harper's POV came through well. *hugs* ^_^
Thank you! I must admit, savageseraph nudged me to clean up that line from its original version; otherwise, it wouldn't have had as much alliterative strength to it. ^_^ (The joys of a good beta!) I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for the very kind feedback!
Oh my... how lovely, and perfectly voiced for Patrick! Putting all his pain and hope and love into the sword that he can't voice, knowing Sharpe will understand...
And that last sentence... so perfect, and so true.
(of course, now I'm wondering if Sharpe goes to Hell and meets Lucifer, would Patrick be able to come between them? *grin*)
Wonderful--thanks so much for this, it's the perfect thing to start my Monday with!
*beams* Aw, thank you, Kris! You always say such lovely things. ^_^ I'm so, so glad Pat came through well, and thrilled that you liked this! ♥
(of course, now I'm wondering if Sharpe goes to Hell and meets Lucifer, would Patrick be able to come between them? *grin*) Hmmm. *snerk* I imagine Harper would be fairly annoyed to find out the Old Goat was so... youthful and not so terribly ugly. And of course, Mr. Sharpe is forever making the worst romantic decisions, but Pat did vow to protect him from women and men alike, so I suppose he'd let his Captain have his fun, and then when Lucifer wasn't looking, Harper'd drag Sharpe kicking and screaming out of the Pit. That, or he'd resign himself to an afterlife of blasphemous threesomes? ^_~

This is so good too! I think you have caught Harper's voice and fierce defence of Sharpe perfectly.*Hugs*

Lovely alliteration - such writing always moves a story along. And of course, these two together (with or without swords) are perfect!
