I'm so pleased you enjoyed this, and thank you for such wonderful feedback! *hugs* I'm so glad that the emotions and visuals are coming through so clearly. ^_^ Thanks again!
There's a strong sense of how life, encompassing not only work and passion for the work, families, all the ordinary stuff, intrudes on this relationship and how the men have within them both the balm and the knife to hurt or to heal. It offers up no easy solutions, but acknowledges the possibility for healing, contentment. Very touching. Thanks for posting.
I can't really find the words I need to descibe this - it's so beautiful and yet so melancholy that it makes me ache.
Sean's breath would be the only thing he heard down the phone line, all his gentle greetings and fond favours dried up and blown away - something tells me that although Viggo thinks it's possible, I don't think there are any words that can bandage the distance between them. Such beautiful writing - thankyou so much! *hugs*
Thank you! That's exactly what I was going for in those last lines, so I'm thrilled it came through for you! (Although I love reading interpretations that are different than my own, too. ^_^) Thanks for the lovely feedback!
This time of year always made him think of the insides of people, the pump and flow and feel of sticky, slowing blood from cut lips and battered knees. This was s spot-on and accurate as a description. I'd been searching for it for a long time.
The whole fic is awesome, and the open end is very, very brilliantly written. Some might see it as hopeful, I see it as dooming somehow.I happen to be familiar with getting sucked into something that inspires you and forgetting all else... When you surface at one point , you discover the things that used to matter are no longer there waiting.
Thank you very much for the lovely feedback! I'm especially glad you enjoyed that line; I was hoping to take the normal Valentine's tropes and turn them on their head, since the heart at the heart of it all (ha ha ^_~) is terribly idealized. Thanks for your kind words. I'm pleased you liked this!
