This season is when I started to be more of a Sam!girl and this is the episode that cemented that. This episode has the great scene at the beginning with Sam running from the devil literally and they go by a bunch of awesome murals. I like it when we get to see stuff from inside Sam's head. I don't think it's any coincidence that it was written by Sera Gamble. She wrote Sam pretty well. I liked Marin as a secondary character. Lucifer was well done in this episode too. There was the hint that Bobby might still be around. I had to go back and see what I wrote about this as a review and it's interesting to see how I feel about this episode now vs. when it had just aired. I like it a lot more now than I did then especially as a standalone episode without trying to place it in a season arc.

A wonderful episode! There's so much to love here from struggling Sam who still saves the girl, worried Dean, Cas' return, and Meg's sass. I need to rewatch this now, I'm craving rugged and falling apart Sam (is it bad that I always wish that that car did more damage that a few scrapes!)

Jared was excellent in this episode, especially when he was being tormented by Lucifer - Mark P was great too! Good choice everyone!
