I'm not done reading this yet but I love love love how you pulled in that scene from S1, and Dean's feelings about that time of their lives, and how lost Dean feels now without Sam, and shoved it all into that black tie. You're a rockstar.
Just rereading and reliving bits and bobs I particularly like from this, in no particular order: the cynical detail of "Marta from Oslo gets a better gig," the bungee jump (because fucking Orlando); RoboSam with his fluorescent, 80 proof slushie; Disney corporate bureaucracy being the most serious test their con's faced in years; that Mort's for Style tie THAT TIE THAT TIE. <3
