I loved all the brother moments so much in this episode. It was pretty obvious (after last week's episode) that Dean was headed out on a farewell tour, especially when he gave Sam that amazing hug, but knowing that only made the rest of the episode more heartbreaking. I felt like Dean's meal with his mom was more for her sake than his. She's "damaged goods" too, even if she hasn't been to Hell or possessed by an archangel. Obviously everybody else on your list fits the bill, too :)
I try to imagine Dean in that box, deep in the ocean, but it never occurred to me until you said it that he might stay alive indefinitely. Aghh! I figured Dean would die, his soul would go to Heaven, and Michael would be trapped in his dead body forever. But this is worse!!!!!
Dean was planning on getting Cas to be the one who throws him in the ocean because he knows he can steamroll Cas into do what he wants. Therefore he was going to contact Cas last.
But he said he was going to pay someone “hush money” to do it. I thought that was probably a bribe not to tell Sam. Involving Cas would defeat the purpose.
IDK--I interpreted his 'hush money' comment more like the need to pay someone to take a boat out and dump something illegally in the ocean...I couldn't see Dean just leaving the actual sealing him inside to a stranger...
This was the most real tension I've felt watching SPN in a good long while. Davy Perez gets a kiss on the mouth from me. Honestly, I'm just so happy that this far in, our Show can still knock it directly out of the MFing park like it did with this ep.
It makes so much sense that Dean's stories (HAHA Sammy was shoplifting food and I was trying to cook it bc our dad and money were MIA lol) were horrifying to Mary. I find it hard to relate to her character but that scene was heartbreaking.
Not as heartbreaking as Sam and Dean at the end of the ep just loving each other so much. So very much. All the much. I had real live tears.
Here's my question...so, is this it for Nick? He's walked off into a squad car and we never see him again? I mean, I don't really care about Nick. But that's a pretty lame send-off for Pellegrino after being around for 10 seasons.

And "Couldn't they figure out how to put Michael into Nick, and then dump those two losers in the Pacific?" THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN!

And I’m pretty sure we’re not lucky enough to be done with Nick. :-/
