Who else had red eyes though...Crowley! Wouldn't that be a "hell" of a twist. Because, if Crowley is dead, then he'd be in the empty, right? And he was kinda connected with Cas, so maybe when Cas "woke up" the Empty or messed with or whatever the heck he did, it woke Crowley up as well. Honestly, I'm just looking for a way to bring Crowley back (and not Lucifer!).
Things I loved about this episode: everything about Sam's grief, He's our kid!, shadow!Duma, Anubis, older version of Lily played by Veronica Cartwright, sweet nougat boy
( ... )
I really thought Michael was hiding inside Dean, spying on them, but Naomi knowing where Michael is has really confused me! Why would he leave his perfect vessel? I'm sure we'll find out soon and I hope it won't be a stupid reason, but perhaps Naomi is lying or is the Empty's vessel. I also hope we find out more about Dean's dizzy spells.
I think in his grief Sam just took the Impala, the car he feels most comfortable in, without thinking about it.
It was a bit strange that Sam didn't get to hug Jack when he came back to life, but something rather lovely in a sad way was that Sam was there alone when Jack was born and again when he died, thanks to casey28 for pointing that out.
My answer on Empty vs Hell depends on if I'd turn into a really cool demon or a really lame one. Would I wear a suit or a leather jacket? Am I a Meg or a stunt demon #456?
It's gonna be awkward when Jack finds out his dads ate all his candy within hours of his death.
Other questions:
Was there a reason, other than not wanting to pay Sam Smith for an ep already so full of guest stars, that Mary didn't pick up the phone? I did briefly wonder if they're setting up another Mary-in-peril storyline.
So why didn't Sam hug Jack? Was that scripted or an actor or director decision? It just felt odd and threw me out of the moment. I would've like a family group hug ala 12x22 too.

Well hell is full with ridiculous demons who aaren't even scary anymore!!! So maybe the Empty really is worse.
I really don't know what Dean's dizzy/blurry episodes are, and if they aren't linked to Michael at all, I'll be confused and lost.
