I love when Sam handles any weapon because they look so freaking small in his big hands! Just Yowsa!
Prison jumpsuits are always sexy on the boys. And they looked so good and acted so BAMF you could almost overlook the potholes. Because, yes, one simple prayer to Cas and they'd know where they were...sigh. This is always the issue when you have an all-powerful, supernatural being in the show. Cas is like the transporter, unless he breaks down, he can get you out of anything.
And I hadn't thought of that at all re: Billie killing the Winchesters. That is so NOT what a reaper would do. I don't even think reapers would make deals, that's more of a Crowley thing. Carver messed up Canon so bad on this show no one knows how they're supposed to act anymore.
But they've replaced Cas with the BMoL as the deus ex machina devices, haven't they? Suddenly the BMoLs have weapons up the wazoo, can seamlessly highjack satellites without trace, drive posh cars and wear designer clothes all while using the most terrifying weapon of all, their horrifyingly mangled British accents.
This episode had a lot of great moments, but the plot was absolutely on crack. Attack on the president results in waiting a year to get any intel about it? Top secret base with piss-poor security, including letting people have mobile phones on base? The brothers cracking after six weeks? (Six months, maybe. But six weeks.???) Cas being a sad puppy with (apparently) almost no powers left if he can't do anything except sad human things to track a vampire
( ... )
That's a very good question that I forgot to put in my recap. Why wouldn't they talk? They've given the "monsters are real" speech hundreds of times. Why stop now?
As usual, this was a funny, insightful review and commentary. Did you ever read the TWOP early summaries (before they became unpleasantly bitter)? This reminds me of those, but with delicious pictures and hilarious captions (I, too, have things Sam could handle menacingly)! Agreed that their desperation to be free should have been better illustrated, but I've seen so many people (on tv and in movies) gasp on the slab and wake up after being "dead", I don't even think about the likelihood of early autopsies anymore. Much. I also hadn't thought about praying to Castiel as an option, now *that* bothers me. ;) It's a treat to read these, thanks.
Oh, I loved TWOP. I did have to give up on the SPN reviews once their reviewers didn't like the show. But I miss that site so much. And knowing that people involved in the show were actually on the boards and reading the reviews makes it extra special. {sigh} I'm following a former TWOP writer on Tumblr right now; her name is TippiTV and she's pretty entertaining.

This is true, my friend. And that might interfere with your bunk time. ;-)
