Ideology versus Reality

Jeb Bush interview in Esquire on Health Care: "Under Obama, we're going to create a system that's not focused on quality; it's focused on access to care."

As opposed to now, where we have a system that's not focused on quality; it's focused on maximizing shareholder value. Both quality and access suffer.

When did we ever have a system focused on

health care, politics

At this point, if you're middle class and need a procedure done, you've got all the access you need and you're not really sweating the quality that much. If you're well-to-do or wealthy, doubly so - and the world is really your option, as you can fly almost anywhere for specialists and transplants.

So we go back to the working-class, those near, on and below the poverty line. Those who do not have access to health care in general. Yeah, access would be good.
