I've always had a knack for marginalizing/enforeignating myself. People don't believe I'm a native Californian, particularly that I'm from SoCal. Maybe because many of my friends growing up were Jews or Asians; maybe because I've made a conscious effort to distance myself from there as much as possible. Plus, you know - weird hobbies, weird major, weird wife.

On the other hand, I've always sort of been my own pole. But it's only been in maybe the last 10-15 years, heck maybe even the last 5, that I've been able to integrate that and be comfortable with myself and others.

Anyway, nice ta meecha!
