I don't even like her all that much. Out of the four she's definitively my least favorite. But for some reason I find her ridiculously easy to write. (she probably a little too like me, and I just won't admit it.) The only chaptered fic I've written is about her after her siblings dies!
I agree so much. I probably shouldn't say that too loudly, though, since most of my Narnia friends love her! But I think that its more the fanon Susan they like and not the one in the books. Cause man, she is kind of boring. I also could see her downfall coming miles away. I don't know where you stand on 'the problem of Susan' but I can't understand all the people crying out and calling it character assasination and stuff, because Lewis set her up from the start. Just re-read LWW. She's the one who doesn't want to explore Narnia and she's the one who doesn't want to explore the Lamp Post in the end. In PC she was the last to see Aslan. So yeah /end rant/ (I might feel for this quite strongly.)
Oh, I totally believe that she found her way. (I'm not a bitch or anything.) And what grated most on my nerves when discussing this on a Narnia forum (I'M NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN! THEY ARE CRAZY!) was that I had to keep pointing out that she DIDN'T ACTUALLY DIE! It's not like her siblings got to go to heaven she was sent to hell. She didn't die, thus she was not there at the end of LB.
There is, of course, endless of meta fics about this. I've written a couple myself.
(What annoys me the most about my friends love for Susan is that in those fics she's mostly paired up with Peter and I'm like NO, Peter belongs to Ed.)

"It's cold," she says quietly, and holds out her hand, "You should come in."
He doesn't say anything, but he puts out the cigarette and follows her in.
