If you didn't mention that you were inspired by A Tale for a Time Being, I wouldn't even had guessed because you added your own flavor to the plot/idea of diary-reading and I really love how you have them interacting on the same plane because it just makes everything sadder but also hopeful? I love the characterization of Sehun as the social recluse, he's not aloof but he just likes his time alone but when he does fall in love, he falls so hopelessly and it made me sob here
sehun greets minxi with a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek when the former opens the door for the repairman he's come to love
because he has so much feelings and love but he just can't get them out WHY SEHUN WHY

i'm sorry this is so late BUT OKAY LET ME DISSECT YOUR QUESTIONS ONE AT A TIME (explained in the sense if this were to be a longfic)

- what does minseok work as?
truth be told i have no idea because i hadn't really thought about the tiny little details here because this was kinda procrastinated to say the least - but had i planned more, he would've been a frustrated writer, desperately seeking for a new topic to write about (also a huge nudge to the book that inspired this, i'm sure you know why)

- what exactly happened between minxi and sehun? did minxi leave?
a) think of it this way, the ending of sehun's journal was abrupt, hence we can never really tell if they did get a happy ending or not. here's one thing we're sure about though, somewhere along the way minxi probably left and ended up with someone else, and that was why sehun was left alone
