I'm not a fan of Enya's as a rule, so I downloaded with reservations - but I have to say, I really like it and have played it three times in a row... it's not her usual style, is it - maybe that's why I like it :-)

One of the few Jack Nicholson movies I've never seen; it just never appealed to me... maybe I'll give it a go next time it shows on TV here.

This movie also struck me so poignantly. I saw it again just recently for the second time. It's bloody amazing. I am going to make a vid-cut of it later.

Helen Archer is a tragic character - ruined by others, herself and circumstance.

He's my pal is tragic yes. But more tragic I thought was after that scene in the car when she goes to the church. She doesn't want to touch the holy water, it's just so... siiighh.

And then also, when she is setting out her belongings in the hotel room. It's so little and yet so much to her.

Phenomenal.
